I have worked in child care, early learning, and social service in a wide variety of roles over the last 17 years. I strongly believe that early learning professionals must advocate for caring communities that support the development of children, families, and those working in the fields of child care, early learning, and children's health. I have been a member of NAEYC since 1991 and have lived in Grays Harbor since 1994. My goal is to support CAEYC members through networking opportunities, advocacy education, and just plain fun and inspiring activities! |
I've been in the early care profession for over 25 years and am now CAEYC's affiliate representative to WAEYC. I jumped into the Coastal area early care community when I moved to Ocean Shores where I live with my husband and pets on beautiful Duck Lake. Please read more of my bio in my statement as candidate for the position of CAEYC president. | |||

I would be honored to represent you as the Coastal AEYC President. I've been in the early care profession for over 25 years. I started as a Toddler teacher in a faith based program, a home care provider, 6½ years as the Training & Curriculum Specialist for the Navy in Fallon Nevada, and 5½ years as an early childhood and human development instructor at Western Nevada College in Fallon. I've served on the Hawaii AEYC annual conference committee, MECAP (Military Early Childhood Association) professional development committee, and now CAEYC's affiliate representative to WAEYC. I jumped into the Coastal area early care community when I moved to Ocean Shores where I live with my husband and pets on beautiful Duck Lake. I am a CASA (court appointed special advocate) and very recently invited to be an Advisory Board Member for the Grays Harbor Salvation Army. The immediate goals for CAEYC are to rejuvenate an active CAEYC membership and provide professional development and networking activities and I intend to play an active role in meeting those goals. |
